I returned mine too. The phone will be available by end of January. I think this problem mostly happen to the dual sim version sold from Microsoft store. any users seen this problem with single sim version?

Mine is dual sim and no issues. Hardware rev is newer, but also firmware is newer at 15454 vs. some people running 15452. Then there's the new 15506 firmware. I think MS has pushed back availability on amazon and other places to provide amazon with units already running latest firmware.

Did you receive firmware update? when I got the phone there was new firmware came out but has not come to US yet don't know what date it will come to US. Update did not indicate would fix the hardware problem. so MS advice users having hardware problem return the handsets.
