Nobody has posted in here for three days I just want to make sure the forum is still working...lol It is amazing to me the bump in traffic and the fact that we are having so few member issues. This just goes to show the class of people that are interested in WP. It also show the effort and dedication of this team to keep this place running smooth.

Yay that keyboard bug. On my L1020 the only issue I have is when I touch the text bog my screen jumps to the pot of the page. I hit the back button on the keyboard and it jumps back to the text box. Then I can start typing. I have to be on the full version of the site and be in desktop mode on IE browser on my Lumia.

Yes I do want a Lumia 925. I just can't find anybody willing to trade yet. I am not giving up.

Nokia is really pushing the 925 in Europe. I saw an ad for it everyday in France on TV.

You would think so, but in the UK - these are rare gems. I had to roam 9 shops to get hands on the last black 925. I wanted white one, compromised to grey one and when couldn't find that, I just jumped on that black one like a crack addict not fed for 10 days.

That's interesting. I also saw a lot of sign ads for the 625 in France, like this. Were they pushing the 625 in the UK?

In the UK, 625 isn't really "pushed" but it is certainly a choice for those buying low end Androids. However, when I went in to buy my Lumia 925 I was actively pushed away to Samsung Galaxy S4 by ALL the sales reps. I was even told that it is easier to make apps for Android that's why you will always have apps but in Windows there are only viruses and no apps - only few bad ones. However, I asked them to look into my device history on contract and since my last 3 were WP since 2010, they eventually gave up and gave that 925 to me.

I was looking into getting a Nexus 4 since that is ?159. I am on the fence between - good UI vs every app that just works. Although we do have apps there are far too many apps that are broken and ones that are being fixed are so slow. I even met a friend last night who was a die hard Apple ****** and he bets his wife that once I use iPhone (never used any!) I will know how much I have arrogantly missed out on since 2006! |
