I walked out of an O2 shop today with a Lumia 735. Here's how the shopping experience went:

I went in asking for an upgrade. The shop assistant asked me what my needs were and I said to him that they were for doing work on the go, internet browsing and video calling. What really shocked me is what phone they directed to me, which was a Windows Phone! They skipped the iPhone completely and they didn't even think about taking me to an iPhone!

It seems like O2 are truly committed to the Windows Phone platform, so if anyone at O2's Bedford store is reading this, thank you for your great customer service! :-)

I've witnessed similar in O2, their marketing material now features WP as much as it does android or iOS phones, twice I've noticed generic marketing for freebies or other stuff that was available across all phones but a windows handset was the predominant image in the marketing materials

The O2 Bedford shop I was in even had a section for Windows Phone that was bigger than the Android section :o

O2 in my area has a great selection of Windows Phones. The two Carphone Warehouse stores nearby are terrible. Every dummy phone on display is the Wrong Windows Phone grr. They even have a Lumia 520 as the display phone for the Lumia 930 and the Lumia 1320!!!
Its a pity that I cant get an O2 signal at my address, I'd definitely buy from them otherwise.
