Just received my new venue

I keep my Dell V8P Windows account separate from my gmail account. At least for now... Don't need the headache. Same with my Surface RT before I sold it. When I got the Lumia 520 as a secondary phone I wanted my gmail contacts to sync so I added my Gmail account and everything synced just fine. Haven't had a problem with it yet. I love Windows phone and when it comes time to upgrade next month am thinking about getting the Icon on Verizon.

But back to the topic at hand, The V8P is awesome! I use it more than my iPad Air and I don't even use my Nexus anymore. I liked the Surface but it was too heavy and the screen size was overkill for me. I mostly read on my tablet and a little YouTube and email but that's about it. The DV8P fits the bill perfectly!

My first week with my Venue an so far so good. I got a Poetic case which fits like a glove. An OTG cable with a wireless mouse which is a cheapy but works well. Also an Illumishield screen protector which went on easily and fit perfect.

I was a little concerned about the memory filling up before I can get an SD card but I found some suggestions to free up some memory here:
Things to do when you get your Tablet
I had gotten rid of the swap file but got a low memory warning so I set it back to 1 Gig. I did turn off hibernation and freed up over 2 Gig of space.

The only complaint I have is the touch sensitivity. Double taps when typing and random zoom in IE. I updated the touch firmware and calibrated which helped but it still does it every once in a while.
