Hi. Once I have already downloaded some files (words, excel, pdf) from Skydrive, can I keep them in my phone so that I don't have to download them all over again when all I wanted to do is to view them? Am asking because doing so simply incur extra data charges and I am often in areas with very poor Internet connection or non at all.

Thanks.

Sure. It is fine to download those files and store them on your device, as long as you have enough storage space for those files.

How to download those files into phone so that when I want to read them, Skydrive wouldn't automatically download them all over again?

In other word, are there options whereby we can opt to either open the file already in phone or get newer version of same file from Skydrive?

Just go in the Office app. In the "recent" list, under a file you already viewed, there should be a text like "downloaded to phone".
