Keyboard repeate rate on the web is super slow

When I go into a web browser (NOT Mobile Nations, ironically enough), the repeat rate is excrutiatingly slow on MOST pages. Is this just crappy coding, or something else? I fear I already know the answer, but wanted to ask anyway. Obviously I can't repeat that here. WC(MN) is blazing fast. Good job, folks!
