Ok... Here's a wild idea. I've noticed that there are still a lot of people who won't give up on their Blackberries, because they just can't work without a physical keyboard. What if Microsoft were to take the concept of the Surface Type Cover and create one for a new model Lumia. I'm picturing a cover that sits over the entire face of the phone, but folds in half, down from the top of the screen, creating a physical keyboard that covers the lower third of the screen. When you fold it down, the screen adjusts to the smaller size and the on screen keyboard disappears. If you don't want to use it, the entire cover can be folded to the left and behind the phone, and now you have a full screen experience. Maybe one of you talented folks out there could mock up a prototype.
