You purchased a carrier-branded variant of the Lumia 1320. Whenever you buy a carrier-branded device (hint, that little Cricket emblem on the front), you're getting the device, tailored to their specifications. The Bootup and Shutdown branding, as well as the Cricket pre-loaded apps are all a part of the package and they will remain there, regardless of the SIM card in the phone.

How is that phone's reception on T-Mobile, btw? I was thinking about buying an unlocked one but the Cricket model is cheaper so my interest was piqued. I'm still not sold on the 6 inch screen but I was thinking I'd test this one out first.

I'm quite happy with the prices of cricket and the coverage/penetration of ATT. It really depends on if you are getting the faster Tmobile speeds in your area. Which I am not in my case. I have yet to try the mobile sharing/hotspot feature~ but its not a deal breaker.

Tmobie pricing is very competitive. Tmobile offers better customer service than cricket too. It just boils down to your preference.
