[L525] Why am I unable to update to WP 8.1?

I have a Nokia Lumia 525. It's working on WP 8 at the moment. When i try to update it from the settings , after 2-3 minutes , i get an error message that says "there is no internet connection ".
But the phone is connected to internet.All other applications can reach the internet without a problem. I tried both Wifi and mobile network.

Any ideas what the problem may be?

Use lumia software recovery tool, i use it everytime when I have OS updates.

Thank you for the answers.
I tried the application , but lumia software recovery tool couldnt read , reach the phone either. I restarted the phone and the computer but no luck.

Other than this phone works just fine. Anything else i can try?

Is your phone locked to a carrier?

Strange that lsrt could not reach your phone. Did you get a failure code?.

How fast is your internet?

If lsrt does not "work" you could do a hard reset.

Are you the same guy from yesterdays thread?
And I believe u said u had a 100kbps 2g connection?
If that's the case then u do need a faster connection.

Nope . I'm not the same guy from yesterdays thread. My phone isn't locked to a carrier. Also my internet is 10mbit down ,1mbit up.

I followed the steps from microsoft's site. Didn't work. And lsrt does not show any failure code. I will try the hard reset .
