L630 L635: telling the difference?

hi, I understood that 635s in the UK anyway were supplied with a glossy cover. my ebay purchased one has come with a Matt cover as part of the phone back and sides. how can I check whether this is really a 635 rather than a 630. thanks.

Depends on the colour you chose.

If it's black, the 630 and 635 use the same matte cover. The other colours are either glossy for the 635 or matte for the 630.

Well, the covers can be swapped.

Also, the 630 is dual-SIM, the 635 is not, so pop off that back cover and take a look!

Yes, I missed that they had purchased it second-hand.

Also, the Lumia 630 has both Single and Dual SIM variants. The version sold in the UK is the Single SIM variant, so it would still look the same as a Lumia 635 inside.

If you have the phone go to settings -> about (windows phone). It will say either Lumia 630 or 635 next to model.

Find your model under your battery cover, there are your Model, Product code and IMEI..
If it's a 630 on model must figure one of these ID's:

• RM-976
• RM-977

If you got a 630 Dual SIM:

• RM-978
• RM-979

If 635 then:

• RM-974
• RM-975
