Yesterday, on New Years Eve, I traded in my old Lumia 928 for a Lumia 640. I added several to a new plan with AT&T, which I got from Best Buy (they had a great deal going).

Oh course I know that the phone only comes with 8 GB from space, so I purchased a microSD card and have put it in with the view of putting as much as I can onto it. So what do you suggest I do, in order to save disk space on the 640's primary drive?

As long as you have everything set to go to the SD card, you should be set.

I would suggest getting a class 10 or better SD card at 32 GB. This should give you lots of room for apps, pics, videos, and music.

I personally use a 64GB SD Card and have all storage set to it. there are some apps that can't be installed on the SD card, but there shouldn't be too many of those out there.

32 or 64 GB works. 32 is a good storage capacity for me personally. For some even 16 is adequate.
