[L640 XL] Camera picture help?

Hi there can some one offer any help as to why on my phone when in automatic mode the pictures in the sun have a haze they have like spikes going off them like shrads of light x

Yes, it's there.

That is not normal. As you guessed.

Is your lens clean? (just checking) because that has a smear look to it. It can happen if your finger gets on the lens and is most obvious when taking bright pictures. Do you have a case on your phone? Did you take the protective plastic film off the camera lens?

It it's none of the above you can also try a different app to see if there is any difference. Any camera app will do just to try.

If all your pictures are looking like that then you may need to do a hard reset or use the Lumia Repair Tool as it would be most likely be a software issue.

If that didn't fix it then it's hardware and you should return the phone.

some pictures are clear but the ones in the sun are like that this is a pic taken in side just after that. there is no sticker on the lens and ive got it in a case so not sun pictures are like this and sun pictures are like above

What camera app are you using? Have tried a different one?

Give them a try and see if the picture turns out the same. Make sure the lens is clean as well. If the picture is better than we know it's an app issue. If it persists then it's a OS issue.

it was the lumia default app when i get out again with the sun i take another pic ad see x thanks
