I bought a 730 today unfortunately a problem occured immediately. When I just got home, I turned on the phone and then the display went out. I double tap it, no response. I pressed and released the power button, again no response. Lastly I long pressed the power button, then a display says "to turn off device slide screen down" then without doing nothing the display went out. I already done a hard reset, it went through all of the process but once the icons were loading again the display went out. Is this a software problem? I have no card inserted yet.

Head over to the store where you bought it from and give it back with the warranty and replace it, I'm sure it's something from the fabric. Good luck with it !

Did you charger your phone? This switching off may be because your battery is too low.
And if you put it on the charger it may take a some time before your phone comes to live. Read the manual if you got one about charging.

I had already charge it before I did the hard reset. Here is what I noticed when I pressed the power+volume down button then the "slide down to power off message showed" then after 3-5 seconds again the display went out. Definitely I will go back to the store which I bought this one. I did not have a problem like this with my 620.

Indeed you should go back .
But pushing volume down + power (and holding them down) is a soft reset.
Anyhow you just bought it so the shop must replace it.

I did not return the phone. The Phone is in auto brightness adjustment, I disable it and chose the moderate brightness and so it it working fine now. Hopefully
