L950 reviewed by GSMArena

Yeah, too bad it's not enough for some people. A commenter on the gsmarena swears there was a 950 teardown 2 weeks ago that proved the heatpipe is there. I could only find the 950xl tear downs.

These things should be brought up so they can correct it.

Some bad info in that review.
the 950 FCC tear down shows no heatpipe. unless someone is willing to pop their device open to prove otherwise, it seems like a closed case.

they also mention Continuum requires the display dock, which is also not true, as quite a few people tried it with miracast and even a generic USB-C to HDMI adapter!

in the article it shows:

Main disadvantages
No liquid cooling as initially advertised
Expensive at launch
No fingerprint reader (the lack is offset by the iris recognition)

although it was never advertised for 950.

I think people are misreading the article. It specifically states:
Microsoft reportedly implemented the liquid cooling solution used in Microsoft's tablets to keep the Lumia 950 series running cool. Unfortunately the new system is applied only within the Lumia 950 XL, not the 950.

This is one of the most robust reviews I've seen yet. I think it's positive overall, but they're honest and acknowledge that the competition is very compelling.

My takeaway, however, is that this review demonstrates just how full of it so many other reviewers have been, making unsubstantiated negative claims in an attempt to validate their biases.

I think people are misreading the article. It specifically states:
skim the comments, the reviewer updated the article concerning the heatpipe not in the 950 as initially mentioned.

that alone gains a HUGE + as most other reviewers would have just let it be and continue on their IOS or Android lifestyle
