Laptop turns off when closing screen while it's set to sleep mode

Don't know since when, but my laptop turns off when I close the screen. Even when it's set to sleep mode. Is anyone having the same problem?

can you check control panel > power and battery settings to see what closing the lid action does on battery and on charging?

When I close the screen, the laptop shuts down like always into sleep mode, the green LED blinks, like when in sleep mode, but when I open the laptop, it sarts again.

when you say it turns off, it completely turns off? All running programs close down?
