leaving nokia

For the price they charge for their phones, I would expect them to collect my device from home, deliver it back when fixed at my chosen time and also give me a box of free doughnuts.
They aren't doing anything extra ordinary. If Nokia added their surcharges to have that many people available to fix your devices and made a Lumia for ?700, I bet Nokia will give you a free head massage at home too while your phone is away.

I think you may have more of a software issue than hardware. Have they tried to flash your firmware?

yep, I flashed myself 2, for amber and black, and then on nokia's assistance, they flashed 2 times (each time I came back there with the phone), and nothing..

Last time I checked an iPhone was usually $200 on contract just like pretty much any other phone. In the US anyhow the overpriced iPhone argument is a poor one. And their customer service is second to none.

By screen flicker do you mean it flickers black? Or do you mean as you scroll the screen colours flicker lighter and darker? My 925 screen flickers lighter and darker as I scroll.

It flickers like a crt monitor, sometimes really heavily, losing/gaining brightness while doing so, sometimes not so visibile.

Well, after reaching nokia via twitter, they sent my request to nokia departament and after 2 weeks they gave me the answer;

I'll be receiving a new 925 ;)..

Guys, if you need to talk to nokia, reach them via twitter, via telephone was simply useless.

gladly this is final over and nokia has made the right decision =)

My first 920 have also flickering display and overheat issue. I researched the cause of flickering display with an overheat issue and the problem is a defective motherboard. I went back to the store the day I got my phone and they replaced it the day after. Does your flickering issue occur after 8 months of having your phone? Did you dropped it on the floor perhaps?

it had the flickering issue since I bought it, but it wasn't too much and only happened when I was using it directly to a very high light source (beach, under powerful lamps etc).. So I simply decided to wait to see if anything else would happen.. after 8 months, with all the drops and etc, the flash stopped working (which I knew was a simply and easy problem to fix), but I decided to take to nokia care to fix my phone (flickering and flash), it went and came back 3 times (1month without my phone) and came back exactly the same way..

They sent to nokia's central in Sao Paulo again, so I decided to reach nokia via telephone, which the guy simply told me I wouldn't be getting a new phone, since they had to fix it.. So I decided to reach nokia via twitter, which has always been the biggest saver from all countries, and in brazil it wasn't different, they sent my replacement request to the central, which 10 days after called me (today) to say if I was okay to be receiving a 925 on the place of my 920, since they have discontinued the 920..

I mean, I couldn't regret, 1020 wasn't a choice because it's a higher level, and 925 is the update of 920, although it has less memory.. and they told I would be getting it on 10 days (starting to count from day 5 of march, it's carnaval here in brazil, so no one works during this period
