Actually, for Washington, it depends on the county/city as well. Where I bought mine it was 9.8%, at the BB where I live, it would have been 8.7%. In Seattle, it would have been 10.4%.

Kinda suxs, but if you work it, buying a new car in a far off county/town saves you money!

It LA County I believe it is more than 10%. Everywhere else it is less. Where I live, in San Diego County, it is 8%.

I know, before I moved to Calif I bought my car in Tacoma because it saved me a few hundred bucks! Best prices are probably in Vancouver as Oregon border towns have lower sales tax due to the competition...
