Light/Dark shade in app list gets removed?

Light/Dark shade in app list gets removed

After I launch an app from the app list the dark/light shade in the app list gets removed after i return back to the app list. I've a lumia 640 DS. I'm on the latest win 10 build and also tried hard reset many times. This problem persisted in all previous builds.
