Lines on top and bottom of phone

Just curious just noticed to light grey lights on the top and bottom of phone either side of charging point and headphones. Are thes lights or just pure cosmetic?

They are related to the antenna I believe.

They're gaps for the antenna signals to get through the aluminium siding. Otherwise you'd have a phone that can't make phone calls. They are not lights.
