linking facebook contacts with outlook contacts issue..

It seems I had to re-link all of my FB contacts to my Outlook contacts after I installed the official FB app after I downloaded WP 8.1 preview. I had previously had the Facebook Beta app but that didn't allow syncing with the new OS. So I installed the official app, went into the settings and enabled the sync option. Everything was fine, except I had to manually merge all of my contacts with their corresponding Facebook contacts, so I did that. but now a couple of days later, I noticed they're not linked anymore. anybody else having this issue? I like having all of my contacts linked with their facebook and twitter profiles in my people hub, its convenient, but it seems they keep unlinking..

...actually I just went into my people app on my windows 8 laptop, and everyone is linked fine in there. but they're not linked in my phone. very odd..
