Live Messenger, Skype on SMS App

Hi guys,
I don't see where I can connect to live messenger from the sms app. is it removed ? Is it coming back later ?
Most of my skype/outlook contacts are also untied..

Live messenger is deprecated and runs through Skype now. With WP 8 that messaging functionality had been removed, so you will need to use the Skype app. Plenty of info around, this had had huge coverage. Also If you have Skype installed, the contacts should still be linked in the people hub - mine are.

They could have integrate skype with the SMS app when skype is installed. It is annoying to have opening apps for conversation.
and yes I have skype but with wp81 some contact are now untied so i had to tie them again

So I guess I can delete all my messenger contact and keep only the skype contact
