I imagine the addition of a notification center lessens the need for live tiles to be updated more frequently.
I think people are more concern about apps providing widgets. I.e. Clocks
Nope..! It's Not 1 min.. It's 15mins..!!
I asked the same question in one of the threads.. and got a reply from a dude who had WP8.1(emulator)..!!
Good point. I would never use a clock app since time is always posted on the phone, but that is something to consider with some apps.
I think you got that from me and its actually not true. The documentation was wrong its still 30min. But whats now possible is that an app can schedule multiple tile updates 1min from each other to make it look like it updates more ofden. So e.g. a clock tile is now possible, but not something more active
I am still confused about how this works lets say for example
Mila Kuniz post on my facebook "Hey sexy" I will get a notification and 30 minutes later my live tile will display this but I already have a notification and check my facebook
And then, Scarlet Johansson post to my facebook "Hey Handsome" I will get a notification but my live tile is still a message from Mila Kuniz and would have to wait 30 minutes to see the live tile update to display ScarJo. Amerite?
So, if I understand, assuming there's no outside interaction: every 30 min the app can ask for an update. It collects then all the newest infromations.
The new thing here is that the app can "program" the tile with different aspects and with that give the impresi?n that it updates more frequently.
Am I righ?
