locking the screen makes the sb getting hot

my surface book has a strange behavior. If I lock the screen, after a short while, it gets hot and I can hear the fan spinning. If I don't lock the screen, nothing happens. it doesn't have background task running. just idle. you can see in the picture that the cpu temp raised as high as 70 degree when it was supposed idle. after unlocking the screen, after a while, the spinning sound stopped, the sb cooled down. why?

certain applications run when you are not using the device and therefore the usage can go high. for example, Kaspersky has a feature where it will only scan when the device is locked
