Is there anyway to change lockscreen timeout more than 5 minutes.

Settings > Lock screen > Screen time out > change the time

Some firmware can set timeout more than 5 minutes.
But some firmware can not set it more than 5 minutes

Based on that the final answer would be to flash a new rom

There is no setting to change lockscreen time out. As you mentioned.
