Long press issue in IE on Lumia 735

I have an issue in IE when I try to long press on a link to open in a new tab. Quite often when I hold down on the link, the phone scrolls slowly to the left and then opens the link instead of popping up the context menu. I find this quite annoying. Does anyone else have this problem?
