Any way to possibly do this? Maybe with a another app or hack?

BULB mode would be great.

is the sensor to small to be heated up longer then 4 seconds that it would damage the camera?

I think you answered your own question here. I believe it would end up damaging the sensor if left open too long. This is due to the size of the sensor in comparison to DSLRs for example.
