Windows Central Question

I know this is the ongoing question, but I'm posting my version in case I can glean any new wisdom. I lost my phone--HTC1 with Windows 8.1--last night so I'm now shopping for a new phone. Having read quite a few reviews of the current and latest Windows phones, I'm starting to think I have to give up and go Android or iPhone.

I hate to switch, as I've had Windows phones for four years, absolutely love the interface, the design. The lack of zillions of fancy apps is no big deal to me. However, everything I'm reading makes me very skeptical about the current crop of Windows phones and the outlook for at least the next couple years. Is there any compelling reason to stick with Windows at this point?

Stop reading and go get a windows phone since you "love the interface, the design" "lack of zillions of fancy apps is no big deal" .

Choose what is good for yourself man. W10M is now a good platform for me. I also use surface so it compliments each other. You'll not have a lot of choices for phone though.

as you've said, you like the interface, design and the lack of some apps doesn't matter so much to you - so yes, go for a windows phone. There are a few options available depending on which country you're in. Watch out for offers, you could get a good deal.

I think the only compelling reason is if you really just want to stick with it. If you want to just see what its like, most places have good return policies, so you could try an iphone or android phone for a week and return it if you really don't like it.

This. Just buy from the right people. Some even have 30 days.
