Lost SMS - Lumia 925 to Lumia 950, how do I get all the messages back?

Lost SMS - Lumia 925 to Lumia 950

I just upgraded to a Lumia 950 from a 925. Prior to doing the restore on the 950, I did a full backup on the 925 including all sms messages. At this point, the 950 is clearly missing messages when comparing the sms message history side-by-side. The guide here for someone with a similar problem did not help me.

*edit*

• The settings for the sync on the 950 has "download messages from any time" set.
• The transfer my data app only allows the Contacts to be transferred via bluetooth between the phones.

What should I do to get all the messages on the 950?

I went ahead and reset the 950 then did a manual sync through the people application. This time a different set of messages were synced! :eck:

Just out of curiosity because I just made the same switch as you... did you ever get the issue resolved? Did all messages eventually sync?
