Low speaker volume?

Anyone else notice the speaker volume for ringtones and music and such is much quieter than the Lumia 928? On volume 25 or so it sounds as loud as my 928 at like 16 or 17

Same here...volume is pretty low compared to the 928

I figured it was a Nokia or WP thing since I was coming from Android ... But yea... Very low.

We are taking about the phones speaker not through headphones.

Missed that, my bad. Definitely quieter but sounds better

That simply seems like an easy software fix. The speaker clearly produces loud audio so there is no particular reason that the notifications should be set so low.

I noticed when I installed some of my old fav ringtones from a file they play quite a bit softer than the OEM installed ringtones. Not a big deal. Coming from android I'm doing some adjusting in many areas but I like it so far.:excited:

Yup ringtones, alert messages, text messages, etc. all have such a quiet beep on the loudest volume for me on my Icon. My parents both have 928 and compared to them it definitely sounds quiet.

I think I have determined this is a bug. Sometimes after rebooting the sound will be nice and loud. But this morning I almost overslept because of how quiet it went back to on my alarm!

Damm. I am waiting for international version of Lumia icon to come. In most of the reviews in youtube, they compared its speaker volume with Galaxy S4, Optimus G2 and other competitors, where its louder than its competitor. Does hard / soft resetting works?

Maybe they will say, "It's a hardware limitation. However we are not ruling out the possibility of a fix in a future software release." I mean, their legal team already approved the statement right?

I think the vibrate mode on the 928 is louder than the ringtone of the Icon lmao

I'm actually glad it's lower than my 928, mostly because even if my 928's volume was set to 1 to be as quite as possible, it was still too loud.

With that said, I usually keep my volume on my Icon between 16-20. I have no issues with notifications / ringtone / alarm.
