lumia 1020 lens flare and scratches

Hello
I have lumia 1020 and pics captuted with this are annoying me. I dont know either its because of minor scratches on lens cover glass or software issue..pics show bright areas near white objects ..and ligths streaks in distanced light sources

I wiped lens with soft cloth many times..no change.. Set exposure very low solves problem a bit but then pic gets underexposed ..
Now im planing for buffing my lens cover glass. Is it ok or suggest me any other solution . and i read somewhere that lumia 1020 has gorrila glass on rear camera then how these minor scrathes happened

Unfortunately the lens looks damaged. It's refracting light especially on highlights. Have you tried a lens cleaner to clean off any grime to reduce the issue? But with scratches your camera will not produce great images even with no grime or grease film 😞

Thanks for repky..i tried cleaning glass any times but no improvment seen.. Just want to confirm that its only glass issue.. So that i dont regret after changing glass cover

The Gorilla glass lens is quite resilient to scratches so that must have taken some real bad luck to scratch them.

Try cleaning it by tape. If it still remains that must be bad scratch...
How do you feel while touching the len's surface?

They are resilient but not invincible, something sharp and metallic probably in your pocket did the damge.
