Hello everybody!
I have my 1020 for almost an year now. Since then I've been taking lots of pictures with it. The image quality was impeccable at the beginning but, as I noticed a few months ago, the photos started being more or less blurry on the upper-right side. I've examined the photos chronologically and it seems the problem started to show somewhere in march-april 2014. Since then the negative effect seems to have accentuated, almost like the "bad" part of the photo is spreading with the passing of time. I'll attach a few photos as example. I want to mention that the phone was never dropped on the ground, so damaging the camera module from a shock like this is excluded.

Has anyone else encountered this?

These are photos taken before the problem:

And here are more recent ones (with the blurry upper-right side):

Personally I can't see anything (although it might be because on my phone), but for a start where are you setting your focus point? The 1020's OIS will try and compensate to keep the focus point (where you tap and focus) as still as possible, which is why some of the 1020's photos have blur around the edges (because the focus point is set in the middle, the phone will compensate to keep it still whilst the edges may move slightly). Are you sure it's not also blurred around the edges of these photos? Try setting the focus point in that corner and see what happens - I'll jump on a computer later on today and see if I can spot that blurry edge you were talking about

That sucks man, I had the same issue with another phone (HTC One X and HTC HD2) the problem was the Camera module was defective, changed it and problem solved for me.

You will have to take your 1020 to a support center, If you are in the EU you have a 2 Year Warranty for this kind of issues.

Cheers

I can see it on 3 of your photos, worst on the bench and hobby shop photos. If you can't see anything physically wrong with the lens, then I think you're going to have to return the phone for a repair.
Nice pics though.

I recently took it to maintenance and since it came back everything's fine. They said it was a tiny spec of dust or dirt inside the camera module and just had to wipe it off or something. In what sense your situation is getting worse with every repair?

Many thanks to everyone that responded to my thread!
