I have a lumia 1020 stuck in airplane mode and would not hard reset, can anyone help?

It's not really appropriate for the content of this thread. So are you saying you HAVE hard reset or can't hard reset? Also I fail to understand how it can't get out of airplane mode.....is the switch greyed out? Do all your radios (WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC) turn on and work properly?

Ok, understand. When you go to airplane mode and swipe it to off it comes back on immediately and yes Bluetooth, WiFi and the others work fine and when to try to go to "about" in settings nothing happens and it does not hard reset by pressing the three buttons

I would recommend flashing the software with the Nokia Recovery Tool

Given I can't help but smell a little troll here, I am going to bite...

Is it a stolen phone and simply not working by any chance? The best way to block a smartphone is to bar the IMEI number at a network level and to forcibly lock the device into flight mode to hinder its use.
