Does your device get hot while wireless charging it? Mine gets warm but today someone in my family (no idea who) moved the phone and left it almost horizontally to the charger. THE PHONE TOP WAS BURNING HOT! Then, I dont know if it was the preview or the heat but the start screen said resuming... and I had to turn the phone off and decided to let it cool down but when I turned it off it immediately turned on again, it happened several times until it finally turned off. The start screen appeard after the first "reset". I also did the MyPhone benchmark and I had a lower score than I used to.I dont know if its 8.1, Cortana, etc again or if something is burned. HELP!

It didnt get hot during any time I installed or used the Preview.

My L920 is the same. In the same position it is everyday on my charger on my desk. If there is charging to be done, it gets red hot. Was not like this before installing 8.1. I am ruling out Cortana as the issue, as it is not rolled out here in the UK.

I've only had my wireless charger about a week and just once noticed a bit of heat around where the top of the charger stand would be on the phone. Not worrisome heat thought The rest of the times, no problem at all.

Maybe I'll keep a closer eye on it now, however and not use the charger overnight for a while.

mine gets warm once in a while. but has a problem turning off the screen when i place it on a charger, nokia dt910 charger

Thats the reason why i dont use wireless charging.
One of the worst things for your battery is heat.

Been using a wireless charging stand for my L920 for a year and a half and battery life is as stellar as ever. I plan to use it all the time with my L1520 as well. Like many people on here, I'm spoiled by wireless charging after getting used to it and don't plan on doing without it again.

I've noticed my 1520 (UK unlocked device with qi charging) getting hotter than usual, after installing wp8.1.

Hopefully this is resolved in the final release - it's the reason I don't like the tech, I agree it knackers out the battery ahead of time... It's just so convenient!!!

Using the fatboy wireless charger and it does not get hot at all! and it's charging fast, so fast that I'm thinking there has to be something wrong! Indian rm937!
