Hi everyone. Can you please tell me how the blacks look on Lumia 1520 screen? Washed out as Lumia 920 or closer to Lumia 1020? Thanks

I hear it is more like a 800/900 black, meaning it has the best blacks for the type of technology. So it is much better than the 920's blacks.

I moved from a 900 straight to the 1520. I actually wanted to check this before I gave them my 900 since I'm very picky and prefer my blacks on a screen to actually be black. This screen is the closest to true black I have ever seen on a non-OLED type screen. It's really surprising just how dark it stays.

Very true. I used to think I was spoiled because of the blacks on an oled display, but the 1520 is close enough for me, and not having to worry about burn-in is worth the very minor tradeoff.

Sounds great :-) Thanks everyone. I think I will be buying this beauty very very soon. Hoping to see some pict/spec of the international version of 5/5.2 inch phone before buying it.

my friend once asked if my 920 was AMOLED
but nooo, the 1520 has to come along ;)

I have to go see this in person now, too curious now

The 1520 actually isn't AMOLED! And yet, it still has an amazing display, in whites, blacks, colors, EVERYTHING!
