As some of you know..i broke the screen of my lovely 1520 :'(

And the repair costs almost the price of a new phone..so here I bought a spanking brand new orange Lumia 830!

Some things I noticed is that:

? 830 has greyish black and yellowish white display. I told the nokia crew to let me see another 830 to verify if that is normal..and it is. I was disappointed because most people say that this has great display. But maybe that's because i'm used to 1520's clear black and pure whites.

? 830's call quality is a lot better and clearer than on 1520, even on headphones. Maybe because my 1520 came from another country?

? i did not (yet, maybe) noticed any differences in speed in navigating and opening most apps with 1520. And that's great :)

I just got my 830 half a day now and that's what I noticed.. I'll post something if I find something interesting :)

The whites on my 830 are snow white and the blacks are inky black.
I tried a 1520 for a few days, so had both phones to compare.
I returned the 1520. I've had the 830 for 2 months and could not be happier with it.
I've tried a bunch of Windows phones and the 830 is the only one I've kept.
I've tried:
- 930
- 925
- 635 (I still have this as a backup phone)
- 735
- 1020
- 1520

:)

The screen thing you will adjust to. I've recently had an Icon (1080p) and a Note 4 (quadHD) and initially did notice the screen difference. After a few days I am use to it and it looks crisp and clear now. It does have off whites and grayish blacks though.

Yes phone calls are top notch in the 830. Nice and clear!

I'm not noticing any speed problems whatsoever with the 830's processor. It appears to be fast and snappy for my use.

Oh..i just adjusted the display profile to make my 830's white look white. But when both are set to standard, the 830 really looks so yellowish. I'm glad they included that option :D

I mean, the color profile :P

I set the Color Temperature and Tint slider in between neutral and cool, and Color Saturation a little more than neutral.

I now got a snow white white on my screen. :)
