Hello,

I'd like to purchase a Lumia 1520 only if I can use it with Metro PCS. Is this possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You would have to get one that's unlocked. I know Negrielectronics.com is selling some, but they're expensive. You could always try eBay.

If I buy one unlocked then I should be ok????? Sorry to keep asking but an unlocked phone is $600 and I don't want an expensive brick :)

If you get an unlocked phone, yes, you will be able to use it on MetroPCS as long as it's been converted to GSM in your area (since T-Mobile bought them). Just pop in your SIM and you'll have to either manually enter the APN settings to get it to work or can install Access Point, which will configure the APN for you automatically. You can always ask a sales rep on Negrielectronics.com questions about the phone to make sure it will run on Metro in your area. Shop for Unlocked Wireless Devices, Unlocked Phones, Unlocked cellphones and more - the reps are friendly and helpful.

You might want to check out the 1520.3 they have. It has the bands that T-Mobile and MetroPCS use for AWS, so you would get HSPA+ and probably also LTE on it, depending on your location. http://negrielectronics.com/nokia-lumia-1520-3-unlocked-yellow.html
