Lumia 520 hanging sometime

My phone sometime hangs can anybody tell me is there a way to check which application are running I background which don't. And is there any app for clearing ram. I am running my phone on Lumia cyan update

If you go into the battery saver app, you swipe right to get usage. There is a list of your apps there which show you which are allowed to run in the background. You can disallow them by clicking into them. I am not aware of any apps out there that show you which apps are using memory and resources
