Lumia 550 vs 650

Hi

As you may know, I currently own a Lumia 550. However, I tested the Lumia 650 in a shop a couple of days ago and couldnt help but notice how much smoother it was. The only real difference maker should be the chipset, but it is almost the same. So how come the 650 seems much smoother? There seems to be more going on than just the chipset.

Also, the 650 looks stunning!

Any ideas?

It has more memory, and also the different chips of course.

True. But 8/16gb shouldnt really matter. My 550 still has 3gb free so.
And there's just a .2 ghz difference between the cpus so there seems to be more going on, or am I paranoid?

The Snapdragon 210 to 212 upgrade on the other hand is similar to the 615 to 616 upgrade, with the single cluster of A7s going from 1.1 to 1.3 GHz and are otherwise unchanged.

So I guess the 200MHz does make a difference...

Also it could be something about the Demo ROM, maybe it has a smaller footprint? IDK.

Bought the 650 as a backup last week. Very smooth operation. Have had no frustration with it.

Possibly. It was running. 164 and it was very smooth. Can't imagine the 200 mhz making that much of a difference.

Nevermind this thread, the update settled on my 550 and it's smoother now. The 650 and 550 are about equally smooth I'd say.
