Lumia 610 vs LG Quantum?

Hi everyone,

I apologize if I make some mistakes as this is my first post on this forum, but I have a question for all of you Windows Phone experts. I'm trying to pick up a cheap unlocked GSM Windows Phone and I've narrowed my search down to two very different models: Nokia Lumia 610 and LG Quantum. I can get the Lumia new for $130 and the Quantum refurb'd for $70. I know the 610 has its limitations as far as CPU/RAM are concerned, but it also has some excellent pros like battery life and build quality. Which phone would you recommend? Are the 256MB WP7 phones a watered-down experience? Thank you all in advance for your help!

I had the quantum for about 2 1/2 years....great phone that never caused me any grief

If you can, go for the 520, its usually around $130 ish. And comes with wp8 and the same specs as an iphone 4.

But if that's not an option then the 610 is still a good phone. You wont get any big updates, but you will have full Nokia sat nav. Nokia pretty much always win on build quality and customer care. So either way its a winner.

But seriously, check out the 520 before you jump. Not to throw a spanner in the works for you. But its an excellent handset and even though its got a lower number. Its a much higher spec phone.

Thanks everyone! I decided on the Quantum strictly on the price. Updated it to 7.8 and am now remembering just how much I love Windows Phone again after a few years on Android. I still can't understand why this OS didn't catch on. The Lumia 610 is nice but I don't think it's worth twice the price. I tried to find a 520 for under $200 but couldn't find anything.
