I've attempted to reset the phone (power+vol down -> release -> vol down -> vol up -> down -> power -> down), and it starts the reset process with the turning cogs, then fails at the end and returns a black screen with ":-(". This reset was attempted in order to fix attempts to boot resulting in a blue screen and "

I've taken all cards out of the phone, removed the battery, etc. It won't boot.
I'd like to use the Windows Recovery Tool, but I don't know if it'll work, as I'm worried the phone might not even be detected by the PC (which has happened with certain devices before). I also don't have a Windows PC, so I'll be using one I have access to in a few days.
It's currently sat on my bed, charging, repeatedly attempting to boot itself. The fact the reset won't complete is troubling.
