Lumia 640 aux connection problem

I recently bought a 640 and if I connect my headphones it detects them and plays through them but when I connect my car aux port it does not detects it and continues to play through the phone speaker (Spotify, podcast app, music app). I have a Blackberry Z10 and it has no problem detecting the aux cable.

Any idea why or how to fix it?
