Hello,

We're using several Lumia 640's at work. Recently i discovered an option "call transfer" which gives you the possibility to put a call in wait and transfer this call to a new call. The only thing is, this option is only available at one Lumia 640, even with other phones installed with windows 10 mobile, the option isn't available. (settings - telephone - advanced - advanced setting - Call Transfer on/off)

I contacted the operator also and they also have no clue how you can enable that advanced menu. Below you can see a screenshot of the two phones, installed with win 10, left no advanced menu available, right its available.

Anyone know this feature?

Compare the details for both phones in settings > system > about > more info

Are the two exactly the same? especially OS build and firmware version

I recently discovered this option on my Lumia 1520 (Win 10 Mobile) and, though I realize it doesn't help with your problem, I am wondering what exactly it does--I couldn't find many search results for it...

I am thinking the simplest use would be if someone called you on your cell, and for whatever reason (bad reception, low battery), you can transfer it to your work phone or home landline without disconnecting and placing a new call.

Does it also act as a switchboard of sorts to connect two other outside lines (for example: suppose my sister called me to get a relative's new number. Instead of finding it & telling her while she writes it down, or hanging up and texting it to her, I could I just hit transfer call and select the person?)

Also, when you use this option, does it disconnect your cell automatically, or would it be like a 3-way call until you disconnect?
