Hello,
I'll be getting a Lumia 640 (most likely from Metro PCS) for someone & had a few quick questions & would appreciate your help!

Does the phone have a pedometer that works by itself (or would you need a Microsoft band or a fitbit, etc)

Any experience with the phone on Metro PCS?

Thank you for your help.

The 640 has Sensor core which should track steps

Yes, you can enable the motion data in settings, but you will need an app like the Health & Fitness app to tell you how many steps you have taken.

Also, the Health and Fitness app comes preloaded with the phone too.

Thanks! So all that's needed is the health & fitness the app! That's great.

I know the microsoft band provides more benefits, but glad to hear the phone is able to track steps independently.
