Lumia 640 weather not working on glance

I just bought a new lumia 640 and tryed to setup weather to appear on glance. I made all the settings that I could do, update weather and glance. Nothing is working. What else could I do ?

I am using 640XL, what I did is
-Turned on the location services.
-LockScreen>Background>Weather
-glance screen(in settings)>always on>Quick Status in turned Off(didn't worked when this is ON)>Night mode OFF
-Restart the device. Then it started working for me.

Did u installed any background apps for changing wallpapers? If yes that can be the issue. A few ppl mentioned it even before

If no app installed that effects it, then search here. I remember someone posting about glance but remember if any beta apps r there on device they might prevent it. Use the msn weather app only.

Showing stuff like weather on Glance on the 640 is not working yet. Its the same on everyone's 640. Hopefully there will be a fix.

Might be a stupid question but do you have the weather app installed on phone memory?

That's completely rare question but it makes some meaning. one has to select a specific city to get it worked.

Not needed, the current location is displayed correctly without adding a default city. The reason I asked that question was because when the weather app was installed on the external memory it never worked with Glance for folks on a 830 but moving it back to internal memory solved the issues.

yes, is on the phone memory. I talked with other 640 owners and they say the same thing, is not working with other apps. It shows only the time and when charging, the battery.

If you read Lumia help+tips app, It says glance feature is limited on the 640.if that includes weather,I don't know.but your problem indicates it does

yea just checked glance limited to time and notifications on 640 and 640 xl

Hi, I am using Lumia 640 as well and I had exactly same issue. Now I have fixed!!
As my situation, MS weather app was saved in SD card so It didn't work and I moved it to phone and working!!
Please try and It will be working. I hope :wink:
