Lumia 640 xl 'slow usb charging' message

Hi everyone, I've had this phone since last january. All of a sudden, I began getting that legend when plugging the phone to its official charger (the one included in the box). It even suggests that I 'use and official charger'. How odd is that?, I'm running W10, production build, non insider, fresh start. Is there anything I can do about it?. same happening on my lumia 730 as well. upcoming cumulative update on 8th November should fix this. I tried hard reset and soft reset too but nothing helped.

Whenever I get the message which is not often, a restart of the phone has resolved the issue for me

Restarting the phone solved the issue so far, I'll keep an eye on it

Loose cable/port is the problem. Not a software issue.
I've been through the same. Bought a new cable. Problem solved.

Quality of the cable plays a roll in this as well. When I had forgotten to pack my original charger on a visit, I tried to use the cable that came with my China made Bluetooth Headphones. This message would pop up, until U restarted the phone and went back to the original charger from Microsoft.

I now have a good quality travel cable that charges my 640 XL, headphones and is awesome for file transfer. I got it at the Microsoft store.

i'm having the same issues
sometimes a restart fixes it, sometimes not.

i'll pick up a higher end cable and hopefully, it won't happen again,

it's annoying and fustrating

I had solved it by doing rollback to w8.1, then hard reset on w8.1.. And didn't hard reset after upgrading to w10 mobile.

Reason behind it was:
- w10(upgraded from 8.1/8.2).
- voltage fluctuation in charger socket..

Well the Phone is using usb 2.0 and its an large 3,000 mah battery

Same thing that happened to my L640XL after upgrading it to Windows 10 Mobile before it damaged my charging port cos I kept on looking for a charger that won't cos the device to charge slow.

You need to adjust your shaky charger pin to one place to get rid from this error.
