Lumia 720, excellent phone, but 512 MB RAM, is it enough?

TuneIn has two versions on app store. Nokia version works with 512 RAM phones. TuneIn version works only with 1GB RAM phones. As far as I can tell, there's no difference at all.

The only thing I miss about the Android version is that I can actually record the whole session while listening. This is the paid version though.

Thanks mate, does Nokia Music similar like Tunein where you can tune in to radio from many countries around the world or just music?

Nokia Music is only for music, but you have the ability to create mixes and save them for offline usage, so you will not use your data while on the go... It works like a charm for me..

If u have lots of collection of songs.

Music player lags (audio is perfect and audio changes immediately as u change song or forward) but album art lags behind.

It even happens in 920 , 820 , possibly it could also happen on 720.

Even when u forward or reverse HD content (like movies) , it lags a bit but for small HD videos or SD videos no lags.

Check once anyway.

FYI, there is an upside to lower RAM which is better battery life. RAM is a principal battery drain on standby (where your phone spends most of its time).

Your Absolutely right my friend.
Wp is not Ram Hungry like the droids.

Low Ram WP8s are Best for day to day use other than gaming , you wont notice any difference ( may get 1gb games on 512 also later)
I believe android 4? system *almost takes a gig of RAM.

I been thinking about the 720 because of big battery. I use my phone a lot. but was concerned about the RAM. this thread is helpful. I am sure there are less things you can pre load into ram so somethings will start slower, but the dual core should make up for that, I am hoping. lumia 920 is butter smooth.

Lets not forget that Lumia 820 comes with a super amoled screen, 1g of ram and also a good 8mp camera. It's also much cheaper now. So my verdict between Lumia 720 and 820 is that I would go for 820.

but IMHO 820 is fugly.

iam also looking forward for 720. Main reason is issues with micro sensitivity. I found many topics about it all over the web.So i am a little bit scared to buy 820. I guess nokia worked on that problem and lumia 720 doesnt have this problems. what do you think about it?

sorry for bad english:)

I have no problem with 512 MB RAM of 720...but I have a question that Will Lumia 720 get next Windows update like Windows 9/Blue or something with this much capacity of RAM...I trust Nokia bt I can't trust Microsoft...I am afraid if they restrict that update will not be available for the devices that have less than 1GB RAM...any one have any idea about this..?? Actually I am eager to buy this phone bt this little doubt is pinching me continuously!!! :winktongue:

Don't remember where I read it, but the Blue updates later this year should actually reduce the amount of resources used by the kernel, giving your apps more power, and your phone a better battery life.
