Lumia 720 Vodafone DE Denim update problem

Hi, I got a problem. I sold my old 720 (German Vodafone) to my friend. I flashed it to Lumia cyan. And now denim should be available for this variant, but after the OTA update the phone says it got still cyan in bonuses and info and also says WP 8.1 instead of WP 8.1 update in "about system". How is this possible? I cannot reach him now because he is out of town, so I can only help him through Facebook and cannot see the phone.

Just to check.
You used Lumia software recovery tool or hard reset to flash the phone to CYAN.
Then you did an OTA does that mean that you checked for an update and the phone "said" no update available.
Or did you really download an update and installed it.
You are not enrolled in preview for developer.

Bye the way even if a download live it is not always possible to get it direct.

I flashed to cyan using LSRT and my friend told me that he checked for an update and then he really download update, he even said two updates today, but still has cyan.

I guess he did not know what kind of updates he got. But because it was back to CYAN these updates were probably "normal" updates. So no worries he should get DEMIN soon.

I hope so. It's just weird that on Microsoft site about update availability this 720 variant has denim available for almost three days now.

True this gives people "false" hope. There are a lot of complaints about.
He may call Vodafone to ask about the Demin update because it's his carrier.
