Lumia 720 vs Lumia 830 Camera

yeah the 720 deserves the pureview tag imho
i have one as well, exceptional in low light
one of the best cameras ive seen on any phone

I'm wondering when (and IF) the 720 receiving Denim with improved image quality.
But then the comparison would be 730vs830 LOL

i guess denim should bring back the same level of quality the Portico update had on the 720
its portico>cyan>black>amber in terms of camera quality
fingers crossed for denim

720.. My excellent backup slim and sexy phone where the battery goes on and on.... LOL.

Don't the 720 and 730 share the same camera? I have been very impressed with the quality, especially in very low light (lighting from on 9W energy saving bulb.)

I've used a Lumia 720 camera and it performs quite well in lowlight due to that f1.9 aperture. But the images are too soft in bright light, because of the low megapixel count and f1.9 aperture.

I would gladly choose an f2.4 with OIS than an f1.9 camera, but still the 720 has a nice camera sensor.

If you find the images too soft, then change the aperture value. Of course, by doing so you will reduce the shutter speed so there is a risk of images being blurred, but in bight sunlight, this really shouldn't be as issue.

Last I checked you can't change aperture on a mobile sensor.

You can change exposure time(shutter speed), focus, white balance and focus.
