Lumia 820 Roll back questions..

I have the Lumia 820 and I am not exactly happy with the Windows Phone 8.1 update. IMHO they completely screwed it up...

I want to go back to 8. Now my question:

Will I get my Me Tile functionality back?

Will I get my old music player back?

Will my apps get re-downloaded when the boot finishes?

Should I click the 'Restore' tab and will I get one right at the beginning?

What are my changes of risking a brick? (goin to do it through the Nokia updater..)

Hey I downgraded my lumia 920 to windows phone 8.0 GDR3+Black update. All went smooth via nokia recovery tool. I created a manual backup of all my images / videos and music on my Desktop PC. Later on the first boot it asked me to choose a backup . Select the latest one and it will download all your apps from windows phone store.(you will not get your app data which include saved game progress , etc ). Yes you will get the old music + video hub , me tile :smile:

Thanks once again... Actually... I have a speed slower than 1MB.. Haha.. So I guess it's 3 hours for me...but once again, thank you! And mind me asking why did you go back to 8? I have my reasons..

Poor battery life , and GPS wasn't working. It was locating me somewhere 3-4Km away. It was very embarrassing moment when I was showing my pals how great offline navigation is on my windows phone lol.

Lol... I understand.. I hate 8.1 cause of the countless things.. The Me Tile is redundant now. The Music Hub sucks Goat BAlz (excuse me for putting it like it is), The games hub endless updates something.. The Notification Centre is an embarrassment as its a direct rip-off of Android.. And plus, not very useful for me.
So let me just go back.. Thanks once again..

What a bad bad way to flash! The download broke more than 5 times...I am seriously doubting I need to go back now..I am so tired of the errors that I have stopped the download completely...

If it were me I'd leave it alone for a spell. I went back to 8.0 on my 925 using 65Mbps download cable internet. The download stayed at 96% for almost 20 minutes.

Mine crashed..saying error...It not only stops, but throws an error ..something about my firewall..is a flash through Nokia CS advisable?

Finally back on 8!!! Woot! Such a beautifully crafted OS! 8.1 is a complete mess! Though I wish I had just two things from 8.1- IE11 and the swype keyboard..
