Lumia 830 metal frame issue or not?

Found that on the left side there is no gap at all (or maybe some kind of additional plate?) between the screen and the frame. It's not a dust. Do you think this can be a defective frame, and I may apply for a warranty service?

Yes. Mine looks nothing like that. Is light bleeding through? If so, definitely a warranty situation.

Nope, no light bleeding.

It definitely looks like it's coming off of the frame. I could be wrong, but mine is flush against the frame, and my domestic partners 830 is the same.

That's definitely not right. Mine has no gaps whatsoever. Hopefully your phone is under warranty. I'd be worried that it would detach itself from the frame...

Just took a look at mine that I received a few days ago and no gap. If it's within a year you can warranty it through the Microsoft Store.

It's a 'hit or miss' with these 830s. A friend of mine and I had these gaps under where the buttons are and were leaking light from these buttons.

Shame of the poor build quality because other than that I was very content with that phone.

Just took a look at mine that I received a few days ago and no gap. If it's within a year you can warranty it through the Microsoft Store.

ONLY USA sold 830's not ones purchased in Canada.

This is a sad discovery.
As I today visited the MS store and compared the 640 & 640XL to the 830.
And I walked away liking the 830.
Now after reading here, my new Lumia purchase is delayed more.
Guess I'll wait a few more months.
